	• Manufacturer: CD • Manufacturer Part Number: CDBY 8225405 • SKU: 12477083 • UPC: 802114304629 • Shipping: $1.24 • Description: Edgy and weird, dark yet rootsy, punkish and psychedelic, with a smidge of attitude and a funky groove filled base, the Voodoo Loons sound is a stew of it's own. Based both in Cincinnati, OH and Donegal, Ireland (dual citzenship), the band has been making a name for itself in underground circles since 2006. Their 2nd LP, The Criminal Ear, is due in early 2014. Past releases include Euphobia (LP), Rough Mixes (EP), ProBonoPublico (DVD), and 'the Winter Trail' (single). The Euphobia album did well in the US and Europe, and is played on Sirius XM Satellite Radio in the States (as well as many other outlets on both continents). SiriusXM 2009 Listeners Poll ranked "Emerald" #56 on the Top 100 Celtic Songs list. 'Winter Trail', the 1st single off the forthcoming album (2013), has also hit the SiriusXM playlist. The very first Voodoo Loons show (the US' 2006 Midpoint Music Festival) started in spectacular fashion with O'Hagan's amp literally bursting into flames during their first song, and they've been building on that energy ever since. The band's approach to gigging has always been unorthodox, as they try to find interesting alternatives to the traditional bar gig touring ritual... Festivals, multi-media events, and jumping between Ireland and the US allows the band to reinvent itself each time out... usually performing as an aggressive electric unit, but also dropping in special acoustic shows in particularly cool venues in favorite destinations such as Dublin and Miami (and of course Cincinnati). In addition to international festivals such as Midpoint (2x) and the World Music Fest, the Loons have also been booked for truly special and unique events, such as Dublin's Temple Bar district during the festivities surrounding U2's homecoming stand at Croke Park (2009), and their annual St. Patrick's Day bashes at the Historic Southgate House (2011) and Cincinnati's Fountain Square (2012). The band plans to tour more extensively in support of the Criminal Ear in 2014. CHRIS HOOKS - bass BILL McCARTHY - drums DENNIS O'HAGAN - guitars/vox honorable mention: MARK DALY - mandolin

The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday because for many retailers it was the day they went from being in the red to being in the black when they became profitable for the year. It is also the official beginning of the holiday shopping season, and Black Friday has become known for some of the best bargains, discounts and deals of the entire year! Everyone has watched stampeding crowds on the local news or diehard bargain hunters camping out overnight so they can be among the first to grab limited black friday specials at their favorite local retailers... However, if you prefer doing your holiday discount shopping from the warm and cozy comfort of home, then Cyber Monday was designed with you in mind! Online retailers spotted the Black Friday frenzy sweeping across the country as it took over brick and mortar locations - rather than compete for your black friday attention, they concocted a day that is all their own and named it Cyber Monday! The Monday after Thanksgiving is when your favorite online stores slash prices and offer their very best prices to help usher in the online holiday shopping season! That means big savings for you whether you choose to brave the local crowds on Black Friday or avoid the madness by browsing online during Cyber Monday Sales! Not to worry - the Friday and Monday after Thanksgiving might get the most attention for discount holiday shopping, but if you procrastinate beyond that magical bargain hunting window it doesn't mean you will be completely left out... In fact, this promises to be an exceptionally consumer-friendly holiday shopping season with sales, coupons and discounts extending far beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday and allowing you to find the best prices on holiday gifts until the very last minute! Hoping to avoid discount shopping withdrawal? Even after Christmas and Hanukkah have come and gone, you'll still have After Holiday Specials to help usher in the New Year!
