	• SKU: 3914584 • UPC: 602517616707 • Shipping: $1.18 • Description: U2: Paul "Bono Vox" Hewson (vocals); Dave "The Edge" Evans (guitar, background vocals); Adam Clayton (bass); Larry Mullen, Jr. (drums). Recorded at Windmill Lane, Dublin, Ireland. "An Cat Dubh" and "Into The Heart" are listed as one song. In 2008, the Dublin quartet reissued their debut as a two-disc set with extensive bonus tracks. While many of these tracks have been surfacing in collectors vinyl markets for years, most of them are included here on disc for the first time. The extras are informative more than truly satifying listening. Who knew, but at one point U2 were not a global corporation, but an actual, very much of their time post-punk band. On "Touch," "Boy/Girl," and the previously unreleased "Saturday Night," Bono toys with Patti Smith-inspired new wave-y vocal affectations that he would soon eschew entirely. Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. while possessing a bracing punk pulse have yet to really lock in with their signature propulsive feel. The real revelation here though is the Edge--whose guitar-playing has been long mocked by purists for its minimalism--who evokes Nile Rodgers and Johnny Thunders dueling over a slew of guitar effects. Some live tracks are also included and foreshadow the band's stadium-sized appetites. With the Edge's production hand, the old tracks have a new impact and will delight longtime fans and collectors alike. U2: Bono (vocals); The Edge (guitar, background vocals); Adam Clayton (bass guitar); Larry Mullen, Jr. (drums). Audio Mixers: Paul S. Thomas; Martin Hannett. Audio Remasterers: The Edge; Arnie Acosta. Audio Remixer: Robbie McGrath. Liner Note Author: Paul Morley. Recording information: CBS Studios, London, England (02/26/1980-09/22/1980); The Marquee, London, England (02/26/1980-09/22/1980); The National Stadium, Dublin, Ireland (02/26/1980-09/22/1980); Windmill Lane Recording Studio, Dublin, Ireland (02/26/1980-09/22/1980). Photographers: Colm Henry; Paul Slattery. U2's earliest recordings -- their debut EP U2 Three, several non-LP singles and B-sides -- haven't exactly been buried, but they have been orphaned, never seeing an official reissue until they popped up double-disc deluxe reissues of 1980's Boy, 1981's October, and 1983's War in 2008. Prior to this, these stray tracks did leak out on the iTunes exclusive release The Complete U2 (tied into the 2004 release of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, discontinued by the time these reissues showed up), but apart from "Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl" -- which surfaced on the B-sides compilation that was added as a second disc to deluxe editions of 1998's The Best of 1980-1990 -- they never appeared on CD. So, this group of reissues is a major archival release, as it unveils the rarest released recordings from one of the world's biggest bands, music that should be available for historical reasons even if it's not very good -- which often it is not, at least not on the bonus disc of Boy. On these 14 tracks, U2 sound impossibly green,...

It is also the official beginning of the holiday shopping season, and Black Friday has become known for some of the best bargains, discounts and deals of the entire year! Everyone has watched stampeding crowds on the local news or diehard bargain hunters camping out overnight so they can be among the first to grab limited black friday specials at their favorite local retailers...
