With piano and music direction by longtime collaborator G. Scott Lacy, CRAZY WORLD also features a special appearance by cellist Deborah Yamak on one of the album's stand-out tracks, 'Since You Stayed Here'. Other highlights include 'I Won't Mind', 'Stars And The Moon', 'New Words', 'Ship In A Bottle', and new renditions of standards such as 'Meadowlark', 'Children Of The Wind', 'Why Did I Choose You' and the legendary title track. '...among the very best -- musically lovely and (rarer still) beautifully acted...The album overall is really wonderful; fine choices of songs, all well done.' - Josh Rubins, Composer/Lyricist (BROWNSTONE, ALL THE QUEEN'S MEN) 'Beautiful, sensitive...a wonderful recording.' - Jeff Blumenkrantz, Composer (THE OTHER FRANKLIN) 'Nice choice of songs. Campbell exhibits real talent with the material.' - Max Preeo, Editor, Show Music Magazine 'It only took hearing the first few phrases sung to let me know the songs are in good hands...Sandy's voice is instantly appealing...She has an open and sweet quality, but with intelligent phrasing that keeps her safely far away from over-sentimentality. It's no surprise to learn that she has experience in theater and cabaret. It shows...Campbell and G. Scott Lacy crystallize the emotional potential of rich songs like these. An encore would be very welcome.' - Talkin' Broadway. Other cabaret appearances have included Sunday In The Park With Sondheim and Totally Tonys! for Outcast Productions and The Greatest Songs You've Never Heard. In October 2004, Sandy and Scott brought a program of their finest material to Schroeder's Club & Cabaret, San Diego's premiere cabaret venue. In June 2005, she returned to Schroeder's to celebrate the release of her first studio recording, CRAZY WORLD, produced and engineered by Eric Wilcox for TriTone Music Productions and released by Azahara Entertainment. In addition to her cabaret appearances, Sandy appeared as Anne Bronte in the concert version of the Steve Gunderson musical The Brontes, a production of the San Diego Ballet.
