	• Manufacturer: AEC • SKU: 17336686 • UPC: 628855000534 • Shipping: $1.16 • Description: Omega Crom is a Ripping Metal band based out of Vancouver B.C. who bring to the stage progressive power metal and elements of aggressive death and thrash. Omega Crom, fearless in its pursuit of primal shredding takes a note from Robert E. Howard's 'Conan the Barbarian', making its metal the stuff of legend. Forging ahead with relentless, blistering guitar solos, thundering drums that effortlessly combine tribal beats with ferocious blast beats, a rhythm that will make you headbang your head off and a groove that'll make you cry for more. Omega Crom released their debut album in March 2009 entitled 'BLOOD, STEEL AND FIRE'. The album was a brutal onslaught of riffs and attitude and was dubbed by many as 'Judas Priest on steroids'. After a cross Canada tour and a few line up changes, Omega Crom reformatted itself into a one-guitar monster in early 2012 before entering studios for their second album "BEYOND CONTROL", to be released in early 2013. With the come back of Colin Furness on the drums and the addition of Sylvain Maltais on the bass, the new songs emerged more refined and virtuosic than ever before. Celine Derval was added as a guest singer on some tracks and the magic that resulted eventually solidified her position in the rank as she can now be seen as a full time member of Omega Crom. Lead vocalist and co-lead guitarist Johnny Ketlo (replacing former frontman Stu Block, now with Iced Earth) name-checked both Megadeth and Judas Priest as influences, and the band covered both during its set ('Five Magics' and 'Painkiller', respectively, with Ketlo effortlessly replicating Rob Halford's falsetto shrieks). - The Georgia Straight (Vancouver) 'Omega Crom is approved and recommended for those who like powerful Metal and who don't fear being different, but always remain true and to the point. Imagine picking up Painkiller (Judas Priest) and playing large doses of aggressiveness. That is Omega Crom, a turbo-charged Judas Priest. 8/10' - Roadie Crew 'An interesting oddity from Canadian new comers Omega Crom... from full on thrash assaults to pumping epic anthems...it's refreshing to hear bands mixing things up like this' - Powerplay Magazine (UK) 'Fearless in its pursuit of shredding, Omega Crom explodes with promise, ripping open the heavens and plundering the thunder therein. ' - FFWD Weekly (Calgary) 'The Vancouver-based guitar shredders of Omega Crom had fans on their knees and the crowd excited about their solid metal tunes.' - Toronto Metal Music Examiner (Live Concert Review) 'It's safe to say featured band Omega Crom blew away everyone in the room, being far more intense and unique than anything experienced at the bigger show just prior. A heavy thrash / black metal amalgamation, these guys are ones to watch for.' - Edmonton Sun (Cradle of Filth / Arch Enemy after party show review) 'A metallic jambalaya, the band are clearly interested in varying their attack to include everything from black metal's eerie atmosphere to death-y chug...
