• Manufacturer: CD • Manufacturer Part Number: CDBY 8233551 • SKU: 12477225 • UPC: 4250786900025 • Shipping: $1.13 • Description: Oli Poppe, Michael Gudenkauf and Ralf Jackowski are adding a new voice to the formation of pianotrio in jazz. On one side in the tradition of the Bill-Evans-Trio, on the other side reaching out and adapting other styles from classical romantic music to pop-like 8ths-grooves. While doing this, the band is never only scratching the surface but always thinking, breathing and living music. Oli Poppes compositions stand out due to solemn seriousness and straightforwardness which makes the listener forget its complexity. The Trio is about experiencing collective improvisation, about an open process of permanent and immediate communication that takes the audience on a journey through sound and atmospheres. |
