It's heavy but soft, providing both warmth and comfort, and it's large enough to cover any bed. It's available in two colors -- a red earth tone and gold. Product Features: Bring a touch of Guatemala into your home with a magnificent patchwork quilt Quilt is sure to liven up any tired bedroom decor Bedding is available in red earth tone and yellow/gold color options Quilt is made of 90-percent cotton/10-percent synthetic Dry clean or hand wash Queen quilt measures approximately 92 inches wide x 92 inches long King quilt measures approximately 104 inches x 94 inches Story Behind the Art: Chucam is a small farming village located in the Department (County) of El Quiche, Guatemala. The community is located about 3 miles away from the town of Chichicastenango, but the road to town is not paved and access to the village becomes difficult during the rainy season. The families of the community are very poor, but the women know the ancestral art of weaving and use it as a supplemental income to provide a better life for their children. In 2001, eight Chucam families banded together to form a weaving cooperative to make beautiful patchwork quilts and other embroidered textiles. More importantly, the men don't have to leave for months at a time looking for work in the sugar cane fields and many more of the village's children are able to stay in school. What is Worldstock?
