Cameron and Callie Simms find life as they know it upended when a council of unembodied beings, who once inhabited the ancient land of Atlantis, contact them and persuade them to participate in a project initiated to save the human species, and the planet.Perhaps not coincidentally, this time of change comes amid prophecies predicting upheaval, even end-of-times, but these prophecies are ambiguous about timing. The Mayan calendar ended with 2012, which many interpreted as pointing to end-times (annihilation) while research suggests it is simply the last year their culture had mapped. An arcane Egyptian prediction suggests that a new age will come in 2038. Might a golden age come about soon, without a time of catastrophic, planet-wide destruction? Or will there be catastrophe and an eon of starting over again? Can we, earth's current occupants, influence the trajectory in a positive direction? Is it possible for a group of beings from another dimension to provide assistance? Can we open ourselves to such help? Specifically, can Atlanteans, now inhabiting an unembodied dimension, help us? The land of Atlantis is understood by many as pure mythology, even science fiction, but research indicates that it is likely Atlantis did exist as a highly advanced culture. Some archaeological findings support the belief that it was destroyed by misapplication of powerful scientific knowledge. If that is true, what group could be better advisors to our planet earth during this time of upheaval, unimaginable before the population tripled in little more than half a century, before social media connected most of these people with one another, and before there were multiple threats of planet-wide destruction? And, what might the Atlanteans have to learn from 21st century humans? Cameron and Callie and the network of people chosen along with them are challenged, first of all, to believe that this inter-dimensional connection is real, not some kind of hopeful delusion, and then to learn exactly what the Atlanteans are asking of them. The Atlanteans, in turn, are challenged to understand yet more of how they went awry and precipitated the destruction of their culture, and their land. They must help earth members see how the work in their professional and private lives contributes to the great realignment of their home planet. This story crosses the boundaries of science fiction, mysticism, psychology and our current reality on the ground. Relax and find which of the doorways you are most comfortable entering. Then travel along that path, and perhaps find your own earth team with whom to work.Although this is a work of fiction, it obviously says something about my world view. There is an Endnotes section which gives information and references that may shed light on unfamiliar concepts. People who read the manuscript along the way... |
