(vocals); Emil Werstler, Eyal Levi (guitar); Eric Guenther (piano, keyboards, synthesizer); Kevin Talley (drums). Audio Mixer: Mark Lewis . Recording information: Atlanta, GA (03/2010-08/2010). The frantic pace at which Dth have begun churning out product -- this eponymous fourth album follows barely one year after their third, 2009's The Concealers -- suggests that the bandmembers either fear that they are living on borrowed time or simply bent on unloading a massive backlog of songs upon the populace. Whatever the case may be, the self-titled Dth represents a step forward by means of a step backward, since it sees the Atlanta, GA-based quintet cautiously flirting with the symphonic, electronic, and industrial elements that so dominated its first two efforts, after virtually abandoning them on the aforementioned third album. Caution is the operative word, however, because these elements rarely exceed the role of embellishments on what are otherwise some of the most brutal quasi-black metal assaults of Dth's career (see "Destruction/Restoration," "Exit Plan," "Accelerant," etc.) and, in the case of bipolar opener "Genocidal Maniac," almost comical in moving from "Lick My Love Pump" territory to gratuitous violence with troubling ease. In essence, this state of affairs is another reminder that now it's the guitar-wielding duo of Eyal Levi and Emil Werstler (whose superlative lead work remains a must-hear proposition in its own right) running the Dth show, instead of the band's original Kabbalah-inspired keyboard player and chief composer, Mike Kameron. And while the new band has yet to live up to the uniqueness of Kameron's original vision -- both musical and thematic -- there now seems to be a real opportunity to do so moving forward, thanks to promising standouts such as "Double Tap Suicide," "Arch (Enemy) Misanthrope," "Manufactured Insomnia," and the instrumental "Terminal Now," where those returning electronic trimmings work wonders to separate them from the surrounding stampeding herd. Now Dth just need to hope that their sales receipts and professional backers will continue to support them through this extended transition process (not usually the case in a music industry that's largely forgotten about long-term artist development), and see them through to that promised land. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia

The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday because for many retailers it was the day they went from being in the red to being in the black when they became profitable for the year. It is also the official beginning of the holiday shopping season, and Black Friday has become known for some of the best bargains, discounts and deals of the entire year! Everyone has watched stampeding crowds on the local news or diehard bargain hunters camping out overnight so they can be among the first to grab limited black friday specials at their favorite local retailers... However, if you prefer doing your holiday discount shopping from the warm and cozy comfort of home, then Cyber Monday was designed with you in mind! Online retailers spotted the Black Friday frenzy sweeping across the country as it took over brick and mortar locations - rather than compete for your black friday attention, they concocted a day that is all their own and named it Cyber Monday! The Monday after Thanksgiving is when your favorite online stores slash prices and offer their very best prices to help usher in the online holiday shopping season! That means big savings for you whether you choose to brave the local crowds on Black Friday or avoid the madness by browsing online during Cyber Monday Sales! Not to worry - the Friday and Monday after Thanksgiving might get the most attention for discount holiday shopping, but if you procrastinate beyond that magical bargain hunting window it doesn't mean you will be completely left out... In fact, this promises to be an exceptionally consumer-friendly holiday shopping season with sales, coupons and discounts extending far beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday and allowing you to find the best prices on holiday gifts until the very last minute! Hoping to avoid discount shopping withdrawal? Even after Christmas and Hanukkah have come and gone, you'll still have After Holiday Specials to help usher in the New Year!
