	• SKU: 322411 • UPC: 652975002529 • Shipping: $0.55 • Description: D.O.A.: Joe Shithead Keithley, Randy Rampage, Chuck Biscuits, David Gregg. Personnel: David Gregg (guitar, keyboards); Joey Shithead (guitar); Chuck Biscuits (drums). About time! For nearly two decades since they went out of print, the first two classic punk DOA LPs were bowdlerized into Bloodied But Unbowed, and then, to address the numerous songs regrettably removed in the process, the Polish import (!) non-LP Greatest Shits appeared. Yet, when one considers how revolutionary and yet how distinct from each other those two LPs were, this state of affairs just made no sense. In an era when so few North American punk greats ever made an actual LP, how could two such crucial ones remain so unavailable for so long? Thankfully, here's the first of them, in its natural, restored state, just as it appeared in 1980 -- and how glorious it remains! The product of two years of solid gigging in their native Vancouver, by the hottest punk rock band the West Coast ever produced this side of the much different Weirdos and Avengers, Something Better Change features a trio so molten, they didn't even manage to get it all down in the studio. And yet it still is an absolutely awesome record. So heavy with chops it nearly leaks, soaring like the best Clash/Pistols/S.L.F. riffs filtered through an American anvil power even those greats couldn't approach. On the faster cuts, DOA just turn the aggression up several notches. And on the slower cuts they prove themselves as much a strong, fiery, spit-a-flyin' rock & roll band as they are a punk one. Sadly, there is only one bonus track, the also great re-recording of their first EP "Disco Sucks" as "New Wave Sucks." But for those who thought that the English had the market cornered on late-'70s punk, DOA could flat-out outplay them all, and this LP is a bomb with sociopolitical smarts and irreverent attitude. ~ Jack Rabid

The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday because for many retailers it was the day they went from being in the red to being in the black when they became profitable for the year. It is also the official beginning of the holiday shopping season, and Black Friday has become known for some of the best bargains, discounts and deals of the entire year! Everyone has watched stampeding crowds on the local news or diehard bargain hunters camping out overnight so they can be among the first to grab limited black friday specials at their favorite local retailers... However, if you prefer doing your holiday discount shopping from the warm and cozy comfort of home, then Cyber Monday was designed with you in mind! Online retailers spotted the Black Friday frenzy sweeping across the country as it took over brick and mortar locations - rather than compete for your black friday attention, they concocted a day that is all their own and named it Cyber Monday! The Monday after Thanksgiving is when your favorite online stores slash prices and offer their very best prices to help usher in the online holiday shopping season! That means big savings for you whether you choose to brave the local crowds on Black Friday or avoid the madness by browsing online during Cyber Monday Sales! Not to worry - the Friday and Monday after Thanksgiving might get the most attention for discount holiday shopping, but if you procrastinate beyond that magical bargain hunting window it doesn't mean you will be completely left out... In fact, this promises to be an exceptionally consumer-friendly holiday shopping season with sales, coupons and discounts extending far beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday and allowing you to find the best prices on holiday gifts until the very last minute! Hoping to avoid discount shopping withdrawal? Even after Christmas and Hanukkah have come and gone, you'll still have After Holiday Specials to help usher in the New Year!
